| About the Fair |
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India presents India Chem 2008 to promote and accelerate the growth of the pharmaceutical and petrochemical sector. The fair is scheduled to be held from October 20th to 22nd, 2008 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre,
a leading trade fair hub located at Goregaon, Mumbai, India. Ranked as
the largest chemical exhibition in India, the 5th edition of the fair
will have on display a wide range of products and services concerning
the chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, technologies, process
plant machinery and control & automation systems.
At the successful 2006 edition, Italy was the partner Country Japan was the
Guest Country and Germany was the Focus Country with 140 overseas companies
participating in it from 14 countries. The exhibition was well attended by
business visitors from 58 countries and buying delegations came from UK,
Germany, Japan, Taiwan & China. Concurrent events like conference,
buyer-seller meets and business-networking dinner were some of the key
highlights of the Show. The business generated at this fair was worth Rs. 325 crore. India Chem 2008 is expected to break the record with much higher participation |
